The makeover: A new outfit from the Gap, shoes from Shoe Department, accessories from Claire's with highlights and flat-ironed hair from Dillard's.

The Look: Mrs. White dressed Abby in a bright orange V-neck with white shell, a powder-blue jacket and knee-length denim skirt. Clogs, a necklace and bracelet complete the look.

The why: "Unexpected colors together, makes it more fun," Mrs. White said. "For a petite girl, something that brings the eye down like a flared leg are good. She needs something to balance her figure. The pieces are really classic and can she mix and match them with anything. Simple, pared down pieces are really the thing."

Her thoughts: "It's cute and comfortable. I like it."
