Polo championship

The USPA Gold Cup Polo Championship will continue today and Sunday, Oct. 1, at the New Bridge Polo and Country Club, 836 New Bridge Road, Aiken. Gates will open at 2 p.m., and the Polo Pavilion will open at 3 p.m. General admission is $6 in advance or $10 at the gate.

'Thumbsucker '

President's Cup

The National Barrel Horse Association President's Cup will take place at 7 p.m. Friday, 10:30 a.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 1, at The Hippodrome, 5540 Jefferson David Highway, North Augusta. The event is free. Call (706) 823-3728.

Free blood test

University Health Care System will be offer a free prostate specific antigen blood test from 7-11 a.m. Friday and 8-11 a.m. Saturday at Lowe's of Aiken, 2470 Whiskey Road. Public meeting

Orchestra to play

HIV seminar

United Way report

United Way of Aiken County will hold a report luncheon at noon Friday, Oct. 6, at Newberry Hall, Aiken. The status of individual and company donations will be discussed. The cost is $15; corporate tables of eight are $120. Reservations are required by Monday, Oct. 2. Call (803) 648-8331.

USC Aiken plays

The University of South Carolina Aiken's University Theatre Productions will present Harvey at 8 p.m. Nov. 2-4 and 3 p.m. Nov. 5; Feast of Carols at 7 p.m. Dec. 4-5; Ten-Minute Play Festival at 8 p.m. Jan. 25-27, 29 and 3 p.m. Jan. 28; and The Robber Bridegroom at 8 p.m. April 26-28 and 30 and 3 p.m. April 29 at the Etherredge Center, 471 University Parkway, Aiken.
