Lillian Raborn Merritt (HEPHZIBAH, Ga.)

HEPHZIBAH, Ga. - Lillian "Moochie" Raborn Merritt, 86, passed September 18, 2006. She was a native of Hephzibah, Richmond Co, Ga. and was born October 13, 1919 to the late James Thomas and Elizabeth Burch Raborn. She married John "Joe" Ward Merritt on July 27, 1957 who preceded her in death Dec. 26, 1995. Lillian enjoyed and participated in the activities held at her church, the Chapel in the Gardens Presbyterian Church in Garden City, Ga. She was a resident of Savannah all of her married life until relocating to Pooler and finally back home to Hephzibah, completing her circle of life. Survivors are step-daughter, Mary Lou Sanders (Savannah); nephews, Bobby and Billy Fulcher (Hephzibah); several other nieces and nephews and a step-grandson. Visitation: 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday at the Fairhaven Funeral Home. Services: 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Mausoleum of Forest Lawn. Internment: Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
