Frances Harrison (KITE, Ga.)



KITE, Ga. - Peebles-Curry-Durden Mortuary announces the death of Frances Geneva Jordan Harrison, age 102, of Kite, GA on Monday, September18, 2006, at Sunrise Assisted Living Center in Augusta, GA after an extended illness. Funeral services are Wednesday, September 20th, at 2 PM in the Kite First Baptist Church with Rev. Ed Thompson and Rev. Paul Douglas officiating. Interment will be in Westview Cemetery in Wrightsville, GA The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service. The family will receive friends at Peebles-Curry-Durden Mortuary Tuesday evening from 6 - 8 PM. Mrs. Harrison was a native of Washington County, a homemaker and bookkeeper. An active member of the Kite First Baptist Church, she was first pianist and then organist for many years and was an active member of the Kite Homemakers Club. Mrs. Harrison was preceded in death by her parents, John Edmond and Anginette Mahalah Williams Jordan, husband, James Wheeler Harrison and daughter Jackie Bryan. Survivors include,one daughter, Mahalah Harrison of Augusta; two sons and daughters-in-law, G. Hughel and Leslie Harrison of Lawrenceville and Dr. J Harold and Sue Harrison of Bartow.; six Grandchildren,Sam and Peggy Harrison of Lawrenceville, GA, Mary and Dr. Andy Robbins, Mike Bryan, Liza and Dr. Bill Kittle, Dr. Jenny and David Burdette all of Augusta, GA, Emily and Dan King of Evans, GA; two step-grandchildren, Stephanie and Dr. Marty McLain of Douglasville, GA, Scott and Missy Fitzgerald of Augusta, GA; 10 great-grandchildren, Peter and Kate Harrison of Macon, GA, Caroline Kittle, Frances Kitttle, Will Kittle and Julia Kittle, Jacqueline Regan and Shannon Regan all of Augusta, GA, Olivia King, Charlie King and Emma Grace King all of Evans, GA; 8 step-great-grandchildren, Virginia McLain, Marty McLain, Masey McLain, Stephen McLain all of Douglasville, GA and Sidney Fitzgerald of Evans, GA Jennifer Robbins of Evans, GA, Mandy Burdette and Matt Burdetteof Augusta, GA.
