Kenneth C. Fehner (AUGUSTA, Ga.)



AUGUSTA, Ga. - Entered into rest on Friday, September 15, 2006, at the Georgia War Veterans Nursing Home, Maj. Kenneth C. Fehner, Sr., husband of the late Kate Simmons Fehner. Maj. Fehner was a native of Foosland, IL. He retired after 20 years of service in the U.S. Army and served his country in WWII and the Korean Conflict. After retirement, Maj. Fehner worked as a Real Estate Agent for a number of years. He had lived in Augusta for 42 years and was a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church. Survivors include his daughter; Paula F. Harwell of Martinez , a son; Kenneth C. Fehner, Jr. and his wife Nancy Ellen of Lawrenceville, GA, grandchildren; Cheryl L. Adams, John W. Harwell and Emily Elizabeth Fehner, great grandchildren; Hunter Harwell, Dawson Harwell, R. Clark Adams and Mary Kathryn Adams. Graveside services will be conducted at Westover Memorial Park on Tuesday, September 19, 2006, 11:00 AM, with military honors. Rev. Jeff Flowers will be officiating. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Maj. Fehner to the American Cancer Society, 2623 Washington Rd. Suite F-104, Augusta, GA 30904.
