APPLING, Ga. -Ms. Susie Hampton of Jordan Drive entered into rest Sunday, August 20, 2006 at the Doctor's Hospital. Funeral service will be held Saturday, August 26, 2006 at 1 p.m. at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Evans, Ga. with Rev. L.J. Tanksley, Jr. officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. She was a native of Columbia County, Georgia; a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church where she served on the Mt. Olive Combine Choir, Gospel Choir and the Women's Day Committee. She was a member of the Beautifulcation Club. Survivors are two sons, Ryan Bennett, Martinez, Ga. and Willie Hampton, Jr. Philadelphia, Pa.; two daughters, Tanisha Hampton and Wendy Hampton, Appling, Ga.; three sisters, Corine (Casey) McCladdie, Martinez and Linda (Johnny C.) Carr, Evans, Cora (Henry ) Mill, Augusta; two adopted sisters, Inez Dent, Augusta and Orma Bennett, Grovetown, Ga.; one brother, Juriah (Emma Jean) Bennett, Evans; adopted brother, Jonathan Bennett, Jacksonville, Fla.; four grandchildren; devoted friend, Freddie Paschal, Winfield, Ga.; three sisters-in-law, Beatrice Bennett, Martinez, Betty Mateen Hakim, Appling and Sarah Hampton, Philadelphia; two brothers-in-law, Lonnie (Gwendolyn) Hampton, Philadelphia; devoted employer, Barbara Burgamy, Grovetown; aunts, uncles nieces, nephew, cousins; other relatives and friends.
