Reba Gaddis Brewer (AUGUSTA, Ga.)



AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Reba Gaddis Brewer, age 71, formerly of Athens, GA entered into rest on Monday, August 21, 2006 at her residence. Born in Seneca, SC, Mrs. Brewer lived in Athens, GA for many years before moving to the Augusta area in 1998. She had retired from the Clarke County School System, in Athens, after teaching for 27 years; primarily at Gaines School Elementary, where she taught 5th grade. She was a graduate of Berry College, Rome, GA, and had earned her Master's Degree from the University of Georgia. She was a former member of the Forrest Heights Baptist Church, Athens, GA and had attended Grace Baptist Church in the Augusta area. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Clarence James Brewer; one brother, Howard Gaddis and two sisters, Nell Short and Carolyn Majors. She is survived by: two daughters, Beverly Yosen and her husband, Robert, Pam Rascon and her husband, Dennis, all of Evans, GA. She was a loving grandmother who cherished her; five grandchildren, Erica Yosen, Joshua Yosen, Benjamin Yosen, Shira Yosen and Anna-Claire Rascon; four neices, Lynne Henry, Laura Pappania, Teresa Strapp, Karen Craft; one nephew, Joe Gaddis and a close family friend, Judy DePaola. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am, on Saturday, August 26, 2006 from the Chapel of Elliott Sons Funeral Home, 4255 Columbia Road, Martinez, GA with Reverend Bill Hilley, officiating. Interment will follow in Westover Memorial Park, Augusta, GA. Pallbearers will be: Robert Yosen, Charles Stoyle, Don Combs, Calvin Mathes, Kim Craft, Dennis Rascon. The family will receive friends from 7-9 pm, on Friday, August 25, 2006 at the funeral home. If so desired, memorial contributions may be made to Berry College, Mt.
