Margaret Hall D'Aulisa (ATLANTA, Ga.)



ATLANTA, Ga. - Mrs. Margaret Hall D'Aulisa, age 87, entered into rest Tuesday morning, August 1, 2006. Mrs. D'Aulisa was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony D'Aulisa, to whom she was married for 50 years. She was born May 26, 1919 in Augusta to Mrs. Martha Parks Hall and Mr. John Edward Hall. Mrs. D'Aulisa was preceded in death by her beloved brother and sister, Mr. John Marion Hall and Miss Geneva Parks Hall. She is survived by her loving daughter Ms. Geneva Anthony (Gina) D'Aulisa of Roswell and her beloved sister, Mrs. Eleanor Hall Cave, of Augusta. Mrs. D'Aulisa was a graduate of Georgia State University, earning a degree in Economics. She served her country as a member of the Women's Army Corps during World War II, and worked for both the Federal Housing Authority and the State of Georgia Department of Corrections. Her main focus in life was her family, being a devoted mother, wife, daughter, sister, and aunt. Possessing an exceptionalintelligence and quick wit, she was an avid reader and a keen student of genealogy. She was an accomplished seamstress and an enthusiastic gardener. Generous to those she loved, she was also a silent benefactor. Mrs. D'Aulisa was a member of the First Baptist Church of Forest Park. She is also survived by three nieces, Ms. Laura Cave of Augusta, GA, Mrs. Cecile Cave (William) Fehsenfeld of Grand Rapids, MI, Mrs. Bennie Maurine Cave (Osmundo) Arrondo of Najera, Spain, and nephew MR. John Marion (Linda) Hall of Taylorsville, NC. She is also survived by four great nieces, one great nephew. The family also wishes to acknowledge her caregiver and loving friend, Ms. Melba Smith of Atlanta, GA. Pallbearers were Donnie McGahee, Bobby Williams, John Hall and Bill Fehsenfeld. Services were held in the chapel at Platt's Funeral Home, Crawford Avenue. Dr. Michael Ruffin of The Hill Baptist Church officiated, with vocals by Ms. Jackie Robinson.
