Iris Allen Dozier (THOMSON, Ga.)



THOMSON, Ga. - Mrs. Iris Allen Dozier, age 84, widow of Mr. E.S. Billy Dozier, died Thursday, August 3, 2006. at Heartland Hospice. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, August 5, 2006, in the Shiloh United Methodist Church with Rev. Mark Taylor & Rev. Tim Corbin officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. Mrs. Dozier was a native of Barrow County, retired from Uniroyal and was a member of Shiloh Methodist Church. Survivors include her daughter, Gale Dozier Sitton, Thomson; two sons, William David Dozier Sr., Appling, and Roger Allen Dozier, Thomson; sister, Inez Vaughn, Conyers; 13 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be William David Dozier Jr., John S. Dozier, William A. Dozier, Johnny M. Markwalter, Larry Adams, Brent Nevil, Stan Driver, and David Perkins. Honorary Pallbearers will be Joe Dozier, Larry Tankersley, Cecil Bullard, Bob Bullard, Bud Farr, and Lee Ashmore. Friends may call at the residence of David Dozier, Cobbham Road or at the Curtis Funeral Home. The family will receive friends after 10:00 AM Saturday at Shiloh Methodist Church.
