Winifred McIntyre (AUGUSTA, Ga.)

AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Winifred Reill McIntyre (Wini) age 89, beloved sister of Eleanor Reill Hodges went to be with Jesus on August 2, 2006 at Heartland Hospice. A memorial service will be held today Friday August 4, 2006, at 1:00 p.m. in the Belair Rd. Chapel of Platt's Funeral Home with Reverend Mark Powers officiating. Survivors in addition to her sister are a sister in law, Thelma Reill of Lawrenceville, Ga.; nieces, Judy (Harry) Thomason of N. Augusta. Lulline ( Rodney) Phillips of Hephzibah,Ga. and Molly ( Jeff) Lopp of Smyrna, TN; two nephews, Tommy Hodges of Augusta, Mark (Amanda) Hodges of Moore, OK, and Linda (Richard) Baker of Lawrenceville; great nieces and nephews, Shannon (Manuel) Gallegos and Matthew Thomason of N. Augusta, Krisy (Joe) Thompkins of Augusta, and Keith (Lisa) Kersey of Langley, SC., Annie (Bobby) Collins of Augusta, GA and David Carlisle of Seattle, WA., Jason, Jonathan and Eleanor Hodges of Moore, OK; Alex and Nathan Lopp of Smyrna, TN. and Scott & Chad of Lawrenceville, GA. and a host of great nieces and nephews. Wini will be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor, and will be missed by all of us who loved her dearly. Wini was born July 15, 1917 in Chicago,IL. where her father was stationed at Great Lakes Naval Yard. Wini spent her early childhood in Melrose, MA. and moved to New York City when her father retired. As a adult her work took her to Atlantic City, N.J. back to New York and finally to General Motors Cadillac in Chicago as an accountant from which she retired. She moved to Augusta twenty five years ago to be near her sister. Wini was widowed twice , first by Jewels Zittenfield of New York, then by Kinzie ( Mac) McIntyre of Chicago, she was also pre- deceased by her parents Wilfred Joseph and Amelia Dennison Reill, two brothers, Marvel, and Sidney Reill, and one sister, Loraine Mills.
