James Bellamy (BEECH ISLAND, S.C.)



BEECH ISLAND, S.C. - Entered into rest Tuesday, night, August 1, 2006 at his home, Mr. James "Butch" Bellamy, Jr., 47, of Beech Island, SC. Born in Augusta, GA, a son of James Dewitt Bellamy Sr. and Forrest Cauthen, he had been a Beech Island, SC resident all of his life. He was a 1977 graduate of Jackson High School and was a Heavy Equipment Operator with Southern Grading and Paving. Butch enjoyed hunting, fishing, and was an avid Dale Earnhart fan. Surviving are his mother, Forrest Cauthen, and stepfather, Joe Cauthen Beech Island, SC; father, James Dewitt Bellamy, Sr. Beech Island, SC; daughter, Crystal Faye Bellamy, Beech Island, SC; sister, Debra M. Conder, (Johnnie) Martinez, GA; brothers, Kurt Bellamy, (Cindy) Beech Island, SC and Ray Bellamy, Beech Island, SC; nieces, Christie Morris and Loren Mead, nephews, Billy Morris, (Jennifer) Tony Bellamy, Kenneth Bellamy, and Josh Mead, and a great-nephew, Trey Morris. Graveside funeral services will be held Saturday morning, August 5, 2006 at 10 o'clock at First Baptist Church of Beech Island Cemetery, Beech Island, SC, with Pastor Frank Hyder officiating. Pallbearers will be Elliott Walker, Jack Allen, Jim Broome, Tom Lawhead, Tony Bellamy, Kenneth Bellamy, Carey Howard, Josh Mead. The family has asked that if so desired memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 23407, Hilton Head Island, SC 29925 or the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 7023, Merrifeild, VA 22116-7023.
