NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. - Mrs. Annie Mae Holloway Meriwether, 81, of West Five Notch Road entered into rest July 13, 2006 at Heartland Hospice. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 16, 2006 at Poplar Spring Baptist Church with the Rev. Edward Lloyd officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Mrs. Meriwether, a native of Edgefield County was a member of Poplar Spring Baptist Church where she served as mother of the church, chief of the usher's ministry member of senior choir ministry and the women mission ministry. Survivors include two daughters, Julia (Simon) Holmes and Martha (Elijah) Love, North Augusta; three sons, John H. Meriwether, Jr., Washington, D.C., Wm. Calvin Meriwether and Larry (Janice) Meriwether, North Augusta; one sister, Pearline Richardson Forrestville, Md.; one brother, David (Sallie) Holloway, Sea Pleasant, Md.; sister-in-law, Louise Meriwether, McCormick, S.C.; 15 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
