Carol Pou Johnson (LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga.)



LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - Entered into rest July 3, 2006, at her residence, Mrs. Carol Pou Johnson, 48, of Lawrenceville. Mrs. Johnson was a native of Shreveport, LA and has resided in Lawrenceville for the past 15 years. She worked as a Medical Laboratory Technician at Quest Diagnostics for 20 years. Mrs. Johnson was of the Episcopal faith and a member of the Church of the Resurrection in East Point, GA. She loved everyone she met, including animals, second only to her love for her sons and her husband. She trained for the Susan B. Komen 3 day walk, but was not able to participate. People may say that she lost the battle to cancer but she won - she saw her youngest son graduate from high school and kept her natural hair. Family members include her husband, Ed Johnson; her sons, Ian Johnson and Evan Johnson, both of Lawrenceville; mother, Harriet Pou of Columbus; father, the late Leo H. Pou, Jr., MD; sisters, Marcia (Louis) Fowler of Austin, TX, Michele (Jay) Lewis of Columbus, GA and brother, Skip (Sandy) Pou of Athens. She was preceded in death by her twin sister, Susan Elizabeth Pou. Graveside services will be held Saturday, July 8, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. at Walker Family Cemetery with Rev. Jeff Gongwer officiating. Memorials may be made to the Komen Foundation Memorial Division, P.O. Box 650309, Dallas, TX 75265-0309.
