Mildred Brennan (AUGUSTA, Ga.)

AUGUSTA, Ga. - Entered into rest Sunday, July 2, 2006 at University Hospital, Mrs. Mildred W. Brennan, 87, wife of James J. Brennan. Mrs. Brennan was born on June 14, 1919 in Girard, AL, which is now a part of Phenix City, AL. She was a long-time resident of both Columbus and Atlanta, GA, and moved to Augusta in September 2000. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Mary On-The-Hill Catholic Church. For the last 3 years and 8 months, she was in the loving care of personnel at Mrs. Barbara Hall's Personal Care Home in Hephzibah, GA. Family members in addition to her husband of 63 Ú years include her daughters and sons-in-law: Rosemary B. Hood and the late Robert D. Hood of Franklin, TN, Helen B. and Mike Darnell of Blue Ridge, GA, Elf B. and Charlie Tennille of Thomasville, GA, Ange B. and Woody Merry of Augusta; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and brother: Richard Waddail of Lakeland, FL. Mrs. Brennan was preceded in death by her parents, John Jefferson Waddail and Rowena Knowles Waddail of Phenix City, AL and son, Michael Anthony Brennan. Memorials may be made to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Home, 760 Pollard Blvd., SW, Atlanta, GA 30315. A Wake service will be held Wednesday, July 5, 2006 at 7:00 P.M. at Thomas Poteet & Son with Fr. Charlie Hughes officiating. Interment will be Thursday at 2:00 P.M. at Parkhill Cemetery in Columbus, GA.
