Henry Pitts (WRENS, Ga.)



WRENS, Ga. - Mr. Henry C. Pitts, Sr., husband of the late Mollie Julia Pitts, fled his armor of flesh on Thursday, June 29, 2006 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at Stone Springfield A.M.E. Church, Stapleton, Ga., Wednesday, July 5, 2006 at 3:30 p.m. with Rev. Michael G. Ephraim, Sr., officiating. Henry C. Pitts, affectionately know as "H.C." joined in fellowship and membership at the Trinity CME Church, where he served as a Steward. He also held membership in the Ways Grove Memorial Aide Society and Gibraltar Lodge # 256. H.C. specialized as a master barber until his health failed and he retired from the Jefferson County School System. He will live forever in the hearts and minds of his children, Lester (Deborah) Pitts, Ella Mae (Eddie) Gibbons, Charles (Carolyn) Pitts, Larry (Rev. Minnie) Pitts, Dorothy (Moses) Holloway, Gary Pitts and Sedric Pitts, Wrens, Henry (Ida) Pitts, Jr., Hephzibah, Gloria (Harold) Leverett and Julia Pitts, Augusta, Carla (Louis) Wilborn, Lithonia and Carl (Phyllis) Pitts, Ft. Hood, Texas. One son, Robert Pitts, preceded him in death. He leaves one sister, Mrs. Annie Dee Thomas, Wrens; 30 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law and loving multitude of god children, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
