ATLANTA, Ga. - Mr. Louis Smith, Jr., 53, of Atlanta, son of the late Louis Smith, Sr. and Minnie L. Smith entered into rest Wednesday, June 21, 2006 at Grady Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 28, 2006 at 2 p.m. at the Historic Spirit Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Glasper Nero officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. He was a native of Richmond Count, Ga.; a retired construction worker; a 1970 graduate of T. W. Joseph High School where he participated in football and track. Survivors are three children, Tina (Charlie) Staley, Stockbridge, Ga.; Lakesha Smith and Louis Smith, III, Austell, Ga.; two sisters, Shirley Smith (Alonzo) Wright, Augusta, Andrea Smith (Jeffery) Stocks, Blandensburg, Md.; four brothers, Charles (Delores) Smith, Timothy Smith, Stone Mountain, Ga., Herbert (Jeanette) Smith and Bobby (Cynthia) Smith, Hephzibah, Ga.; six aunts, Daisy (Fred) Blakely, Gracie M. Blakely, Dorothy (Rev. Sylvester) Bing, Virginia Jenkins, Nellie (Leroy) Williams, Ella Lou (Henry) Evans; one uncle, Charlie (Henrietta) Smith; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
