AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Willie Mae Shores Lawrence, age 76, beloved wife of Mr. Bobby Lawrence, entered into rest Saturday, June 17, 2006, at her residence. Mrs. Lawrence was born in Edgefield, SC to the late Marvin B. Shores and Mary Willie Brewer Shores. She was a lifelong resident of the Augusta area and her faith was Church of God. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, June 21, 2006 from the Chapel of Elliott Sons Funeral Home, 2524 Lumpkin Road with Reverend Leonard Chavis officiating. Interment services will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Additional family members include two sons; Clyde F. Carlyn Sr. and Steve R. Lawrence, both of Augusta, two daughters; Phyllis Alewine and her husband David, of Alexandria, VA and Candy D. Turner and her husband Hans of Augusta, eight grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, four brothers; J.B. Shores of NC, Russell Shores of Hazlehurst, GA, Joe Shores of NC, Sammy Shores of Alma, GA, three sisters; Florence Gibson of Martinez, Christine Wise of Beech Island, SC, Sarah Scott of Aiken, SC . Mrs. Lawrence was preceded in death by a brother; Clyde Shores. The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 20, 2006 from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
