NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. - Mr. George L. Miller, beloved husband of Kathryne C. Miller, of Waccamaw Dr., entered into rest, Saturday, June 17, 2006, at Veteran Affairs Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 20, 2006 at First Baptist Church with Dr. Gary C. Redding and Rev. Preston Creech officiating. Interment will be at Pineview Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Mr. Miller's nephews. Honorary Pallbearers will be The Timothy Sunday School Class, Allen King, Willard Stewart, Swain Morris, Ray Moore, Bobby Dodd, Bob Griffin, and Bob Brooks. Mr. Miller has been living in this area since 1956 and he was a member of First Baptist Church of North Augusta, where he was a Sunday school teacher. He was also a member of Hezzie Griffis American Legion Post of Edgefield, and Harold F. Adkinson Chapter 255 KWVA. Mr. Miller was also a recipient of the Purple Heart, and was a Korean War Veteran. He was also a retired sales representative for Nabisco Foods. Other survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Bruce and Meredith Miller, of North Augusta; a daughter and son-in-law Vickie and David Wiseman, of Newberry; two brothers, Travis Miller, of North Augusta, Harold Miller, of Columbia; a sister Gertrude Reel, of Edgefield; four grandchildren, Jessica Miller, Megan Miller, both of North Augusta, Kathryne Wiseman, and Sally McKellar Wiseman, both of Newberry. Mr. Miller was preceded in death by two brothers Landrum William Miller and Terrell Miller.
