AIKEN, S.C. - Otto Morris, 79, died on June 14 , 2006 at his home. Otto got his Master's degree in Chemical Engineering from Georgia Tech in 1950, and went to work for du Pont at the experimental station in Wilmington, Delaware. He was transferred to Aiken in 1951 to the Savannah River Plant under construction and held various supervisory and management positions in Reactor, Separations Technology, Waste Management Technology, Tritium and other departments at the plant until his retirement in March 1989 with over 38 years of duPont service. Otto leaves behind his wife, Gloria, after 56 years of marriage; his son, Dr. Robert Morris and his wife, Patricia, of Isle of Palms, SC, as well as his daughter, Keith Crosswhite and her husband, Reverend Kenneth Crosswhite, of Columbia, SC. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Yates Crosswhite, Haley Morris, and Gray Morris. Otto has donated his body to the Medical College of Georgia.
