Thelma Green Taylor (GRANITEVILLE, S.C.)

GRANITEVILLE, S.C. - Entered into rest June 12, 2006, Ms. Thelma "Teat" Green Taylor of Graniteville, wife of the late Joseph Woodrow Taylor and daughter of the late John D. Green and the late Maude Carpenter Green. She is survived by a son, Joe A. Taylor and his wife, Brenda Taylor of Graniteville; daughter, Sherry Taylor Wingard and her husband, Martin Wingard of West Chester, Ohio; four grandchildren, who she adored, Kelley Taylor Martin of Suwanee, Ga., Keith Taylor of Edgefield, S.C., Kimberli Taylor Cheeks of Aiken, S.C., Joseph Wingard of West Chester, Ohio; a sister, Louise Dobbs of Hephzibah, Ga.; six great-grandchildren and a number of nieces, nephews, who were all very special to her. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Jerry B. Green and J.D. Green and a sister, Gladys G. Morris. She was born in Aiken County, S.C. and has been a lifelong resident of Graniteville, S.C. She retired from the Graniteville Company after twenty five years of dedicated service. She was a member of St. John United Methodist Church in Graniteville where she was a member of the Loyalty Sunday School Class. She was also a member of the Graniteville Leisure Club. The funeral service will be conducted Thursday, June 15, 2006 at 1:00 P.M. in St. John United Methodist Church in Graniteville with Rev. Gene Wilson officiating. The interment will follow in the Graniteville Cemetery. The pallbearers will be Clyde Harkins, Ric Castles, Herbert Padgett, Treye Sharpe, Travis Smith, John White and Lannie Hudson. The family will receive friends at the residence or at Napier Funeral Home Wednesday night, June 14, 2006 from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be made to the St. John United Methodist Church, P.O.
