POLLS OPEN: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. today

BRING WITH YOU: One of three forms of ID:

- Voter registration card

- Driver's license

- Picture ID issued by the Department of Motor Vehicles

WHERE TO VOTE: Check your voter registration card

- Governor: Republican Gov. Mark Sanford is expected to easily defeat newcomer Dr. Oscar Lovelace. In the Democratic primary, state Sen. Tommy Moore and Florence Mayor Frank Willis are the heavyweights.

- Lieutenant governor: Incumbent Andre Bauer, who has gained a reputation as a speed demon, faces Mike Campbell, the son of former Gov. Carroll Campbell, and surgeon Henry Jordan for the Republican nomination.

EXPECTED TURNOUT: Stuart Bedenbaugh, the executive director of Aiken County's Voter Registration and Elections office, said he expected about 25 percent of the county's 85,000 registered voters to turn out, a jump over the 13,100 voters who showed up in 2002, a similar election year in that there was no presidential primary.
