I encourage all voters in Georgia House District 122 to join me in supporting Rep. Pete Warren for re-election in the upcoming primary.
Mr. Warren has lived in this district for many years and, unlike many politicians, he genuinely cares about all his constituents and the problems in our district. When you come to Pete with a problem involving state issues, he will make every effort possible to help you get it resolved.
An example of this is when residents in his district expressed concern about the high number of traffic accidents and deaths occurring on Mike Padgett Highway south of Bobby Jones Expressway. As a result, Rep. Warren has become very active in the area of safety improvements to state-maintained highways in Richmond County, working tirelessly in Atlanta for getting priority set for local road projects.
In response to crashes and the loss of life at the intersection of Goshen Industrial Boulevard and Mike Padgett, Pete worked with the Georgia Department of Transportation to expedite the installation of a traffic signal at this location. Since the signal's installation, no major accidents or fatalities have occurred. Recognizing that this problem is only going to grow worse as time passes, he is continuing to work with local and state officials to push for even more safety improvements on this and other highways in our area.
We need to support those elected officials who listen to the concerns of their constituents and work for real and positive solutions. I urge you to join me in supporting Pete in his campaign to represent the people of District 122 in Atlanta this fall. Remember: Your vote counts.
