James E. Danner (WASHINGTON, Ga.)



WASHINGTON, Ga. - Mr. James Edward Danner, Jr., 69, of Ashley Ave., died Saturday evening, June 10, 2006 at Wills Memorial Hospital. Mr. Danner was a native of Wilkes County and had lived here all of his life. He was a combustion engineer with C.E. Minerals, Inc. and he was a member of Mt. Nebo Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 14, 2006 at 2:00 at the Rocky Mt. Baptist Church with Revs. Dennis Quinn, Joe Glaze, and Roy Andrews. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Joe Rucker, Willie Burns, Leon Quinn, Henry Quinn, Uellis Tutt and Jack Sheppard. Mr. Danner is survived by his wife, Mary Danner of the home; his father, James E. Danner, Sr., of Detroit; five sons, Willie James Danner, Spencer Danner and James E. Danner, III all of Washington, Alvin Thomas of Evans and Randy Cullars of Lincolnton; two daughters, Melissa Scott of Washington and Jennifer Danner of Athens; two brothers, Tom Danner, Washington and Willie Joe Danner, Detroit; three sisters, Barbara Quinn, Mary Rucker and Patricia Peavy of Detroit; mother-in-law, Mary T. Dill of Lincolnton; 16 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; he was preceded in death by his mother, Sarah Binns Danner and a brother, Jerry Danner.
