Confident Christians don't fear 'Code'

A Secret Service agent who is an expert in recognizing counterfeit money was asked how much time he spent studying counterfeits. He said, "I never study counterfeit money. I just study real money so much that I can instantly recognize the counterfeits."

I believe Christians should do the same thing to combat false teachings about God and the church of Jesus Christ. We should read and study the Holy Bible, which is the only inspired written manifestation of God to man.

Jesus warned us there would always be false gods, false christs and false teachers. So, as a minister and one who has taught the Bible for many years, my advice to fellow Christians is read and study your Bible every day, and don't worry or fret over such things as The Da Vinci Code. If we know what the Bible teaches, we will be able to recognize false teachings whether they are in the form of books, movies or preachers. When we study and know the Bible, we will be able to follow the teaching of the Apostle Peter in 1 Peter 3:15: "(S)anctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear."

For me, personally, I could care less about the false statements in The Da Vinci Code, because my hope for all eternity is in my Savior, Jesus Christ.
