AUGUSTA, Ga. - Entered into rest Thursday, June 1, 2006 at Medical College of Georgia, Mrs. Elease Bennett, 74, wife of Mr. George W. Bennett. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, June 6, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. from Mount Olive Baptist Church, Washington Road, Evans with Pastor L. J. Tanksley officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Mrs. Bennett was a homemaker and a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church. Survivors are her husband of 59 years, George W. Bennett, of Augusta; four sons, Gelester Bennett and Emory (Vernestine) Bennett, of Augusta, Wayne (Linda) Bennett, of Martinez, Steven Bennett, Marietta, GA; two daughters, Evelyn (Melvin) Wright, of Augusta and Vicky (Joseph) Burns, of Snellville, GA; ten sisters, Zelean Quick, Thelma Avery, Gwendolyn Pollard and Essie Bryant, all of Augusta, Eunice Blanchard, of Appling, Margaret Choice and Ida Green, of Evans, Deloris Johnson, of Martinez, Inez (Alan) Johnson and Ophelia Carter, of Philadelphia, PA; three brothers, Joe (Jeannie) Pollard and Leslie (Brenda) Pollard, of Augusta and Lester (Brently) Pollard, of Appling; 13 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
