Joseph Griffin (AUGUSTA, Ga.)



AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. Joseph Earnest Griffin of Travis Road entered into rest Friday, May 19, 2006 at the Medical College of Georgia. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 27, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at Second Antioch Baptist with Rev. William Bussey officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery. Mr. Griffin, a native of Augusta, was a 1981 graduate of Hephzibah High School and was employed for 19 years as a meat chef at Villa Europa. He was a member of Second Antioch Baptist Church where he served as an usher. Survivors are his wife, Lisa Griffin, Augusta; four daughters, Jameka Griffin, Tamika Griffin, Kendra Griffin, Ashlee Griffin, all of Augusta; one granddaughter, Janiah Wilson; three sisters, Nancy Ellison, Augusta, Jacqueline (Orlando) Bradley, Hephzibah, Valerie Charles, Augusta; three brothers, Tracey (Linda) Griffin, Jessie Williams, Augusta, Budroe Bradshaw, Newark, N.J.; adopted sister, Terri Riddick, Okinawa, Japan; adopted brother, Eddie Brown, Miami, Fla.; mothers-in-law, Margaret (Joel) Walker, Augusta, Bessie Williams, Hephzibah; sisters-in-law, Vontressa Williams, Sable Williams, Hephzibah; brothers-in-law, Willie Williams, Jr., Hephzibah, Curtis Ellison, Augusta, Darryl Galloway, Iraq, Kalvin Williams, Savannah, Ga.; goddaughter, Chelsey Harmon and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins Williams Funeral Home, 2945 Old Tobacco Rd., Hephzibah, Ga.
