Coach is reprimanded for behavior at prom
LAWRENCEVILLE - Parkview High School coach Cecil Flowe, one of Georgia's most successful football coaches, has been reprimanded for his behavior at the school's prom.
Mr. Flowe, who was a faculty chaperone at the May 6 prom, received a letter of reprimand Monday from Gwinnett County School Superintendent J. Alvin Wilbanks.
The letter was sent after students and other faculty members noticed "uncharacteristic" behavior by Mr. Flowe, which prompted speculation that he might have been "under the influence of alcohol," the superintendent said.
In the one-page letter, he tells Mr. Flowe that he could be fired if it happens again.
Video camera found in home's bathroom
SAVANNAH - Police seized a video camera from the bathroom of an east Savannah home they believe was used to tape a 16-year-old girl.
The girl's mother called Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police on Sunday afternoon after she found a videotape of her daughter, according to a police report.
The video, which is from Thursday morning, appeared to have been taped from the ceiling, police said.
Officers checked the bathroom and found a small video camera in the exhaust fan with wires leading into the attic, the report says.
