WAYNESBORO, Ga. - Mrs. Betty Jean Hughes, 74, died Sunday, April 30, 2006, at her residence. Mrs. Hughes was born in Monroe, N.C. on January 30, 1932 to the late Hoyle (Sr.) and Gertrude Helms Stegall. She was a homemaker and has lived in this area since 1981. Mrs. Hughes was preceded in death by her husband, J.C. Hughes, and two great- grandchildren, Austin and Angel. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 3, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at DeLoach-Kennedy Funeral Home Chapel in Waynesboro, Georgia with Rev. Mark Joyner officiating. Interment will follow at Burke Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers are Laney Hinson, Julius W. Hinson, Robert C. Hinson, A.J. Vincent, Clarence Valentine, Edmond Franklin, Jr., and Hoyle Stegall, Jr. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 2, 2006 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at DeLoach-Kennedy Funeral Home in Waynesboro, Georgia. Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Laney Hinson (Delores), of Waynesboro; Julius W. Hinson (Sharon), of Tampa, FL; and Robert C.
