AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Clara Coleman entered into rest Friday, April 28, 2006 at Portsbridge Hospice Center. Funeral service will be Wednesday, May 3, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Clyde Hill, Sr., officiating. Burial will be at Walker Memorial Park. Mrs. Coleman was a native of Augusta, was a member of the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, and a retired employee of Medical College of Georgia. Survivors are two daughters, Willa Mitchell and Joan (Jay) Jenkins, Augusta; three brothers, Julian (Joan) Bryant, Chicago, Ill., Reather Bryant, Albany, Ga., Frank (Valerie) Bryant, Forestville, Md.; eight grandchildren, Carlus (Kimberly) Mitchell, Richmond, Va., Keith Reeves, Kevin Mitchell, Derrick Reeves and Jasmine Burns, Augusta, Katrina Wright, Macon, Ga., Jay Jenkins, Jr., Atlanta, Ricardo Briscoe, Augusta; twelve great-grandchildren, mother-in-law, Gladys Coleman, three sisters-in-law, Lena Coleman, Augusta, Edith Long, Beatrice Tolbert, Houston, Texas; godson, Benny (Betty) Johnson, Augusta and a host of other relatives and friends.
