WINDSOR, S.C. - Services for Merless Bass, 78 will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 3rd at Folk Funeral Home Chapel, Williston with burial in the Windsor First Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from six to eight p.m. Mr. Bass died on Monday. Born in Sampson County, N.C., Mr. Bass was a son of the late Allen and Virginia Jackson Bass. He was a retired truck driver having worked for FCX Fertilizer Company in Clinton, NC. Mr. Bass was an avid fisherman. Survivors include daughters, Ann Bass and Debra Frye, sons, Ray, Larry and Wayne Bass, a sister, Hazel Tindall and brothers, Bernice, Milton and Tilton Bass, thirteen grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild and his beloved dog named 'Rotten'.
