Local medical professionals truly care

I recently moved to Augusta from Michigan, and four months ago was diagnosed with prostate cancer. I was alarmed, but was aware that with proper treatment it is most likely curable. The purpose of this letter is to show my appreciation for the wonderful care I received at the Georgia Radiation Center affiliated with the Medical College of Georgia.

I received 42 treatments Monday through Friday for just over eight weeks, and not a day that I was there for the treatment did the radiation therapists not treat me with kindness and understanding. They took a difficult situation and made it a gratifying experience. I would see patients there who were quite ill, but the therapists were always upbeat and addressed them by name, and really gave the impression they cared - which they did.

The city of Augusta is very fortunate to have such dedicated people rendering care to all. From Dr. Byron Dasher to Kathy, Monica, Barbara and Vicky, the therapists, I could not say how much I appreciated their kindness and treatment.
