CLEMSON, S.C. - Travis Storrer went 2-2, including a solo home run in the first inning, to lead Clemson to a 7-3 win against Virginia Tech in Atlantic Coast Conference play Sunday.
The Tigers (33-13, 15-6 ACC) scored six runs in the first three innings while shutting down the Hokies (17-27, 3-21) during that stretch to put the game away.
Virginia Tech had nine hits but had trouble getting men home - leaving 11 men on base.
David Kopp (3-1) struck out six in six innings of work to take the win.
David Cross (3-7) gave up all seven runs in his six innings to take the loss.
The Tigers swept the weekend series.
