Faye Sanders (SAVANNAH, Ga.)



SAVANNAH, Ga. - Faye Cox Lanier Sanders, 74, of Savannah, died Sunday, April 23, 2006 at Memorial Medical Health University. She was born in Reidsville, Ga., and was preceded in death by her first husband, Jack Lanier, and her daughter, Miss Debbie Lanier. She was retired from the Chatham County Board of Education, having served as a Secretary. She was a former member of Riverside Baptist Church, and then moved her membership to the former Taliaferro Baptist Church, where she served as a Sunday School Teacher, Soloist for the Sanctuary Choir, Church Training Department, the Girls Auxiliary, and the WMU. She was a member of St. Francis of the Islands Episcopal Church. She is survived by her husband, Thomas Lanier Sanders, Savannah, Ga; 2 daughters and sons in law, Paula and Jimmy Dyal, and Vicki and Terry Riggs, 2 grandsons, Jamie Dyal, and Jeremy (Casandra) Dyal, 2 great grandchildren, Jeremy Walter Dyal, and Shawn Michael Dyal, all of Savannah, Ga; and a number of nieces and nephews. Visitation: 6 - 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Fairhaven Funeral Home, 2794 Highway 80 West, Savannah, Ga 31408. Graveside Services: 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Reidsville City Cemetery, in Reidsville, Ga.
