Lila H. Cadden (AUGUSTA, Ga.)



AUGUSTA, Ga. - Entered into rest Saturday April 22, 2006 at University Hospital, Lila "Pop" Hood Cadden age 89. She was a daughter of the late Clayburn and Amison Huff Hood. Funeral services will be held 12:00 noon Tuesday April 25, 2006 at Elliott Sons Funeral Home Telfair Street Chapel with the Rev. Guy Campbell officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Mrs. Cadden was a native of Jefferson County GA. and had made the Augusta area her home since 1932. She had retired from the Graniteville Company, Sibley Mill with 41 years of service and was a member of the Hope Chapel. She will be best remembered as a loving devoted mother, grandmother, and friend. Survivors include one daughter, Patricia Ann Kitchens, (Mintford L. Sr.) Jupiter, FL; four grandchildren, Kathy (Mike) Cables, Deborah (Frank) Bennett, Kimberly (Rick) Mulkin, Mintford (Kimberly) Kitchens, Jr.; nine great grandchildren, Joshua, Ashlee, Matthew, Michael, Mintford III, Justin, Eric, Erin, Ryan; special nieces and nephews, Marcelle Fulcher, Carolyn and Roy Kitchens, Linda and Claude Andrews; a dear friend, Marian Harmon and several other nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one step daughter, Carole Balkcum, four brothers and four sisters. Serving as pallbearers will be Mintford Kitchens, Jr., Mintford Kitchens, III, Claude Andrews, Richard Balkum, Roy Kitchens.
