James Otis Hampton (PHILADELPHIA, Pa.)



PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - Mr. James 'Jack' Otis Hampton, son of the late Otis and Fannie Hampton, entered into rest Wednesday, April 5, 2006 in Philadelphia. Funeral service will be held Friday, April 14, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at Solid Rock Baptist Church, Appling with Rev. Willie Jones officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery. Mr. Hampton was native of Appling, Ga. and was formerly employed at Ft. Gordon. He was owner and operator of the Impression Inn, Augusta. Survivors are his wife, Sarah Hampton, Philadelphia; one daughter, Jacqueline Hampton, Philadelphia; three sons, Derrick Hampton, Carlton Hampton, Edmund Hampton, Philadelphia; one sister, Betty (Mateen) Hampton-Hakim, Appling; one brother, Lonnie (Gwen) Hampton, Philadelphia; devoted cousin, John Jackson, Augusta; three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
