AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. Leon 'Bay Bay' Dyers, Sr., of Albany Avenue, entered into rest Tuesday, April 4, 2006, in Houston, Texas. Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 9, 2006 at 2:30 p.m. at B.A. Williams Memorial Chapel with Minister Tralyne Usry officiating. Burial will be at Walker Memorial Park. Mr. Dyers, a native of Augusta, was a U.S. Army Veteran and was employed with Anderson Association for over 20 years. Survivors are his wife, Karen 'Kay' Mitchell Dyers; one son, Leon Dyers, Jr., Atlanta; two daughters, Erica (Christopher) Williams, Shalethia Dyers, Augusta; stepdaughters, Tajuana Dyers, Fla., Tralyne Dyers, Va., Valerie Smith, Augusta; four stepsons, Timothy Smith, Richard Smith, Michael Smith and Patrick Smith, Augusta; five sisters, Maggie Robinson, Hilda (Randolph) Dunn, Geraldine Dyers, Janie (Johnny) Zellars, Juanita Maloyd, Augusta; five brothers, Joe Dyers, George (Shirley) Dyers, Edward (Jean) Dyers, Augusta, Claude Dyers, Folkston, Ga., Curtis Dyers, Glenville, Ga.; four grandchildren; special nephew/son, Anthony (Sharon) Dyers, Augusta; a goddaughter; mother-in-law, Ethel Mitchell, Augusta; sisters-in-law, Neitha Mitchell, Augusta and Donoval Mitchell, Virginia; brother-in-law, James Mitchell; two aunts, Mozelle Gilyard and Maggie Lou Green, Clarks Hill, S.C. and other relatives.
