GRANITEVILLE, S.C. - Entered into rest on Friday, March 10, 2006, Mrs. Mary Ellen Napier Williams, wife of the late Mr. Bill Williams. She was preceded in death by a brother, Henry Napier; a sister, Earlene Napier; and a niece, Jean Napier. Surviving are two sons, Mike Williams, of Columbia, S.C., and Steve Williams and wife, Joyce, of Cordele, Ga.; a brother, Bucky Napier; and a sister, Myrtle Friday, both of Graniteville; two nieces, Cynthia Holley and Billie Jo Costanza; four nephews, Phil Napier, Daryl Napier, Ricky Napier and Buddy Friday; three grandchildren, Vicki Cherry, Tammi Cole and Jonathan Williams; and seven great-grandchildren, D.J. Cherry, Michael Cherry, Becki Cherry, Kayla Cherry, Sammi Cole, Hug Cole and Eli Cole. Mrs. Williams was born in Graniteville to the late Joseph Benjamin and Mary LeBelle Miles Napier. She lived most of her life in Graniteville, then in North Augusta and most recently in Columbia, S.C. She was a graduate of Leavelle-McCampbell High School and then worked in the payroll department at Graniteville Company for a few years. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Graniteville. Funeral services will be Tuesday, 11 o'clock at First Baptist Church Graniteville with Rev. Steven Hendricks officiating. Mrs. Williams will be placed in the church one hour before service time. Interment will follow in Graniteville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Phil Napier, Daryl Napier, Ricky Napier, Buddy Friday, Keith Coats and Kevin Coats. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Epworth Children's Home, 2900 Millwood Ave., Columbia, SC 29205. Friends may call on Monday evening from 6 until 8 at Hatcher Funeral Home, U.S. Hwy.
