SWAINSBORO, Ga. - Peebles-Curry-Durden Mortuary announces the death of James Hampton "Jim" Cameron, age 71, of Swainsboro, GA on Tuesday, March 7, 2006, at his residence. Graveside services will be Friday, March 10th, at 2 PM at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Dellwood, GA. with Elder Tommy Rountree and Dr. Gerald Holsonback officiating. Pallbearers are Cameron Smith, Clay Smith, Jeoffery Cameron, Jeb Cameron, Josie Cameron, Andy Stevens, Jamie Giles and Jim McNeely. Honorary Pallbearers are the Thursday Night Card Club. Mr. Cameron was a native of Long County, retired with Coca-Cola and was Baptist. He was a former member of the Swainsboro High School Athletic Booster Club and an avid GA Southern University Eagle fan and member of the Emanuel County Eagle Club. He was preceded in death by great-grandson Ayden Andrew Stevens. Survivors include his wife, Martha Tuten Cameron of Swainsboro, GA; two daughters and sons-in-law, Renee C. and Ricky Smith and Angie and Dr. Brad Headley all of Swainsboro, GA; two sons and daughters-in-law, Ronnie and Susan Cameron of Swainsboro, GA and Steve and Melonia Cameron of N. Augusta, SC; one brother-in-law, Dr. Irving Rudman of Frankfort, IL; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
