THOMSON, Ga. - Mrs. Sybil Edmunds Brantley, age 61, beloved wife of Mr. Harold Brantley of 438 Noble Street, died Monday March 6, 2006 in the McDuffie Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday March 9, 2006 in the Pine Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Patrick DeVane, and Rev. Butch Baston Officiating. Burial will follow in Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be: George Darden, Michael Crosby, Mike Newsome, Mark Patterson, Henry Fluker, Kenneth Kitchens, Jarrett Fluker, Roy Russell and Rob Blevins Mrs. Brantley was born December 30, 1944 in Washington, GA a daughter of the late Aubrey and Katie Reese Edmunds. She retired after 23 years of service from SunTrust Bank as a bookkeeper. She was a very active member of Pine Grove Baptist Church, where she was a member and treasurer of the Women's Missionary Union, a choir member, a assistant teacher of the adult II Sunday School Class, and a member of the pillars of Pine Grove. Mrs. Brantley was preceded in death by her son, David Clay Brantley, her parents, Aubrey and Katie Reese Edmunds and a sister JoAnne Edmunds Posten. She is survived by her beloved husband of 42 years Mr. Harold Brantley, of Thomson.
