LOUISVILLE, Ga. - Funeral service for Mrs. Marjorie Elaine Wilcher of 1095 Bermuda Drive, Louisville, Ga., who passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2006 after a brief illness, will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist church in Louisville with the Rev Larry Montgomery officiating, Burial will be in the family plot at Davisboro City Cemetery, Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Southern Heritage Funeral Chapel, Louisville. Mrs. Wilcher was born July 24, 1932 in Baker Oregon and lived there most of her life. She was employed by the Haines Oregon Telephone Company for a number of years, as well as the Oregon States Police. She and her husband moved to Louisville in 1983 following his retirement from the U.S. Air Force. She worked as pro shop manager at Ogeechee Valley Country Club for a number of years. Elaine enjoyed sewing, reading and gardening, but her greatest love in life was helping and doing for other people. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Ervin and Allie Harrington, a son, Sherman, and a sister Irene Van Houten. Survivors include her husband, Curtis Wilcher, Louisville; a daughter, Sherry and Rodney Loennig of Creswell Oregon; two granddaughters, Lisa Loennig, Corallis Oregon and Cassie Loennig, Denver Colorado; three sisters, Helen Bogart, Canyon City, Oregon, Eula Thompson, Prairie City, Oregon, and Valoria McCullough, Haines, Oregon. Pallbearers will be Jim Horton, Lloyd New, Steve Green, Harry Gilmore, Jr., Maxie Walden, Bill Snider, Dan Glover, and William Snider. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Ogeechee Valley Country Club and Frances Bell Chapter 75 Order of Eastern Star, Harlem, Ga.
