LINCOLNTON, Ga. - Jean H. Smith, wife of the late Gordon Smith of Comanche Circle died Friday, Jan 27, 2006 at her residence. A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 4, 2006 at 2 p.m. at Double Branches Baptist Church. Mrs. Smith, daughter of the late Jack and Pearl Walden Stephens was a native of Glascock County, but had lived in Buffalo, NY for many years before retiring as a manager of a Hotel in the Buffalo area. For the past 18 years as a resident of Lincoln County, she has been a member of Double Branches Baptist Church and the Homer Legg Chapter 535 Order of the Eastern Star, and Grand Representative of New York in Georgia. Survivors are daughters, Michele Prather, Hephzibah, Patricia Mixon, Savannah and Debbie Szewczyk, Florida; sons, Dale and David Smith, both of Florida; sister, Janis Moffre and significant other, Bill Lecuyer, Cohoes, NY; brothers, Larry W. Stephens, Augusta, Billy Stephens, Hephzibah and Wally Stephens; seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
