JACKSON, S.C. - Funeral services for Mrs. Willa Dean Copeland, 77, of Fifth Street, Jackson, who died February 1, 2006, will be conducted Monday morning at 11 o'clock from the First Baptist Church of Jackson, Rev. Donald F. Lumpkin officiating. Interment in Jackson Memorial Cemetery. Mrs. Copeland was a native of Cullman, Ala., having made Jackson her home for the past 45 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Jackson, the Philathia Sunday School Class and had served in the Children's Department, Vacation Bible School and Choir. Survivors include her husband of 58 years, James R. Copeland, Jr.; four daughters and sons-in-law, Janice and Jimmy Golden, Goldridge, Ala., Jamie Copeland, Lexington, S.C., Karen and James Kight, Jackson and Kim and Bill Berendsen, Byron Center, Mich.; two brothers, Cleo and Everette Bentley both of Cullman, Ala.; a sister, Gloria Jean Nobinger, Baileton, Ala.; grandchildren, Dusty Golden, Jennifer and JasonJolly, Shanna and Jason Fees, Christie and Bethany Berendsen and Colby Kight; great-grandchildren, Jada Golden, Payton Golden, Andrew Outlaw, Warren Jolly and Taylor Fees. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Philathia Sunday School Class. Active pallbearers will be Robert Crumley, Clark Johnson, John Reeder, Dave Hooks, Melvin Weathersbee and Norman Barnett.
