Curtis Brown, Hephzibah
YEAR: Senior
POSITION: Small forward
HT./WT: 6-5/182
WEEK'S WORK: His coaches asked him for more, and he delivered after so-so outings against Butler and Harlem. Brown scored 21 points and pulled down 16 rebounds in a 67-51 against Greene County, who was the No. 8 team in Class AA at the time. He then followed that with 23 points and 13 rebounds in a 77-55 win against Thomson.
WHAT THEY'RE SAYING: "He can play outside and then the next trip down the court we can win with posting him up. He's got guard skills as a ball-handler, he can shoot the tree and also bring a strong post-up game. He's getting close to being pretty much a complete player."
- Hephzibah coach, Bob Klofenstine
Jordan Little, Augusta Christian
YEAR: Senior
POSITION: Shooting guard
HT./WT.: 5-5/125
WEEK'S WORK: Little averaged 27 points, six rebounds, five steals and four assists in two Augusta Christian wins. She had 30 points, eight rebounds, five steals and tied her school record in a 63-50 win against Cardinal Newman. Her 17.1 point and 4.8 steal averages per game have led the Lions (16-4) to their best start in school history after 20 games.
WHAT THEY'RE SAYING: "She basically put us on her shoulders and she said give us the ball. It was like she told us she would make every shot and swipe every steal. And she backed it up. She was unbelievable for us this week. She is on pretty much on fire right now shooting the ball."
- Augusta Christian coach Keith Walton
