AIKEN, S.C. - Leo Leonard Pearson, Jr., 80, of Aiken, died Thursday, January 19, 2006 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, January 28, at All Saints Anglican Church with the Rev. Garrett Clanton officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the Parish Hall following the services. Mr. Pearson was born in Birmingham, Ala. He had lived in Aiken since 1954. He served in the Army and the Air Force during WWII with the Flight Engineer B-24 Bomber Group. He was stationed with the 446th Bomb Group-8th Air Force in England during WWII. He received his Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of Alabama. He worked as a Mechanical Engineer for E.I. Dupont, SRP. He was a member of All Saints Anglican Church, Aiken Community Playhouse, ACTS, Dixie Youth Baseball and Scotting. Survivors include his mother, Mattie Jennie Pearson; his wife, Eleanor Burton Pearson; three sons, Leo (Lynn) Pearson III, W. Columbia, S.C., Ralph Burton (Beth) Pearson, Little Mountain, S.C., David Carroll Pearson, Dothan, Ala.; four grandchildren, Aimee Heard, Jennifer Pearson, Emily Morris, Stephanie Flynn; two great-grandchildren, Brian Flynn, Pearson Heard; a sister, Katharine Hatley, Helena, Ala.; a brother, William Edward Pearson, Helena, Ala.
