Lynx lose another player to the AHL
Augusta rookie defenseman Eric Lundberg has been recalled to the Albany River Rats of the American Hockey League, the fourth call-up in less than two weeks for the Lynx.
Lundberg joins Augusta leading scorer Nicolas Corbeil (Lowell), second leading scorer Joel Stepp (Portland) and rookie goaltender Mike Wall (Portland) on current rosters in the AHL.
Corbeil was to be Augusta's representative in the ECHL All-Star Game on Wednesday, but due to call-ups, center Brian Passmore will take his place.
Passmore has nine goals and 26 points in 35 games.
The Lynx play their second of a seven-game road stretch tonight at Florida before the all-star break. The team then will travel to Alaska and western Canada for two weeks of non-divisional action.
Augusta has filled the roster spot in goal - behind Jason Wolfe - with a familiar face, announcing it has claimed Chad Collins off waivers from the Gwinnett Gladiators.
Collins went 2-1-0 in four games last season for Augusta, including a 47-save effort against the Gladiators.
Collins joined the team before Friday night's game at South Carolina.

Police use stun gun to detain ex-champ
In Nashville, Tenn., police used a stun gun on former heavyweight champion Oliver McCall after he tried running away from officers trying to arrest him for trespassing in a public housing development, authorities said.
McCall, who knocked out Lennox Lewis for the WBC heavyweight title in 1994, was arrested late Thursday.
Officers asked him if he lived in the area, which was posted with "No Trespassing" signs. McCall said he didn't and told them he was "Oliver McCall, ex-heavyweight champion of the world."
When police told him he was under arrest, "McCall replied 'no' and took off running," a police statement said.
Officers used a Taser to restrain the 6-foot-2, 250-pound McCall. They also recovered a glass pipe and a $5 bill containing a small amount of cocaine.

Ruling on Nardiello is expected Monday
In Albany, N.Y., an arbitrator was expected to rule Monday on whether the U.S. Bobsled and Skeleton Federation was justified in suspending coach Tim Nardiello, who was accused of sexually harassing two members of his team.
The sides met for 22 hours over Wednesday and Thursday, a session that included lengthy testimony from witnesses for both sides.
The arbitrator's decision is separate from the U.S. Olympic Committee's investigation into the Nardiello matter.
The USOC must decide by Jan. 30 if he coaches the American team at next month's Turin Olympics.
- The Turin torch relay passed into Slovenia on Friday, with former Olympic skiing silver medalist Jure Franko among those running with the flame.
Franko ran through the streets of the western city of Nova Gorica, on the border with Italy. He then carried the torch by car to Ljubljana, the Slovene capital, where about 20 torchbearers - including ski jumper Matjaz Debelak and former skier Katja Koren - joined the relay.
