Journey to work could win money

Midas is kicking off a yearlong 50th anniversary celebration by searching for America's longest commute. Until Feb. 6, Midas will conduct a search for the motorist who has the dubious distinction of having the longest driving commute to work.

The grand-prize winner will receive free maintenance (for one year) and $10,000 in gas money. Enter online at www.midas.com.

'I DO'

A baby-sitting arrangement with his cousin helped introduce Melanie Adams and Jessie Johnson.

It was a deep connection and growing friendship that led to their engagement on a Jekyll Island, Ga., beach.

But their relationship didn't go like clockwork.

In the midst of falling for each other, Mr. Johnson got a job in Atlanta.

"It was difficult at first. But you know what they say, 'Absence makes the heart grow fonder,' and it did," she said.

The couple exchanged vows Saturday at Mize Memorial Methodist Church in Augusta.
