Wizards clip Hawks' wings



WASHINGTON - Donell Taylor scored a career-high 15 points to lead the Washington Wizards over the Atlanta Hawks, 103-72 on Wednesday night.

Jared Jeffries matched his career high with 15 points, Caron Butler had 14 points and Antawn Jamison scored 13 in a rare appearance off the bench as the Wizards won for just the second time in seven games.

The Wizards (14-19) finished with a 52-31 rebounding margin, and held the Hawks to a season-low point total for a Washington opponent. The Wizards also had 27 second-chance points.

Atlanta (9-24) scored on the game's first possession, but then never led again.

In Toronto, Chris Bosh had 29 points and 10 rebounds, and Mike James added 24 points for Toronto in a victory over injury-ravaged Charlotte.

Morris Peterson had 18 points and 11 rebounds for the Raptors, who have won six of eight.

Jumaine Jones had 17 points for the Bobcats, who were missing Emeka Okafor (sprained ankle), Kareem Rush (sprained ankle), Sean May (sore right knee) and Melvin Ely (sprained ankle).

In Philadelphia, Mehmet Okur scored 25 points, and Andrei Kirilenko added 23, helping Utah overcome Allen Iverson's 46 points in a victory over Philadelphia.
