CORAL GABLES, Fla. - Ivory Latta scored 21 points to lead No. 4 North Carolina to a 90-57 victory over Miami on Monday night.
Latta went 5-for-5, including four 3-pointers, in the first 6:58 of the game.
Reserve Alex Miller replaced Latta after the Tar Heels' quick spurt and connected on three 3-pointers to help North Carolina (15-0, 2-0) increase its advantage to 35-11 with 9:06 left in the first half.
North Carolina finished with 13 3-pointers, one short of the school record set against Navy on Dec. 6, 1991.
In Columbus, Ohio, Jessica Davenport made a turnaround jumper with 3.4 seconds left to give Ohio State a win over Oklahoma in the Big Ten/Big 12 Challenge.
Davenport took a bounce pass, spun and hit a 12-footer to give the Buckeyes (11-2) a 73-71 lead.
