Skeleton coach will go to court Monday

In Elizabethtown, N.Y., U.S. skeleton coach Tim Nardiello will get his day in court Monday, when the U.S. Bobsled and Skeleton Federation has been ordered to show that it had good reason to suspend him while sexual harassment allegations are investigated.

In an order issued Thursday by the New York Supreme Court, Judge James P. Dawson called for the hearing and ordered that U.S. Bobsled and Skeleton president Jim Shea Sr. show cause to keep the court from granting a preliminary injunction that would reinstate Nardiello as coach.

On Saturday, Nardiello was placed on paid administrative leave and earlier this week, the federation decided Nardiello would not be allowed to travel with the team for next weekend's races in Germany while allegations that he sexually harassed athletes are investigated. His status for February's Turin Olympics is still uncertain.
