On the last day of 2005, I was richly blessed by an Augusta resident. I know the person is an Augusta resident by the postmark. I have no idea who this is, but would like to thank the person for his or her generosity and kindness.
This person accidentally, by virtue of the U.S. Postal Service, received my home-mortgage escrow account reimbursement check. It was sizable, and desperately needed by me and my family.
They placed it in another envelope and mailed it to me. The original envelope had "God bless, I know you need this" on it. They were right. The return address was the mortgage company. I guess they felt that the Postal Service lost it once, and could again.
This is the only way I could think of to thank my good Samaritan. May my unknown friend have a very happy and blessed new year.
